Apologies for getting this out later than usual, but I've finally finished updating the database with the new preliminary 2026 property valuations.
For those curious about the bigger picture, it looks like the median percentage increase for the county this year is around 3.6%, which is a drop from the 8% median increase we saw last year. Of course, individual properties will vary, so please check how your assessment changed.
Head over to Lancaster Property Search to search for your property and start comparing valuations with similar properties in your area. The search tools for both recent sales comps and similar property assessments are available to help you prepare.
Keep in mind these are preliminary numbers, so there may be some changes when the final valuations are released. While the final numbers won't be out until June 1st (when we'll do a complete data refresh), I wanted to get these preliminary valuations out for anyone who wants to start their research early.
If you run into any issues with a property, let me know and I can look into it. Good luck with your research!
